I have been real busy today, not much time to write in the blog. I have been meaning to post this concept of “Rural Sourcing”. I really love this idea. Todd Girvin from Improving Enterprises specializes in this form of outsourcing. Although this may seem like a plug for Todd, it’s not. I just think he has a neat concept.
Say you have an IT need that might be expensive if you hire your own staff to develop this project. Most companies prefer to outsource to another company. In many cases these are actually outsourced to India, Vietnam or some other South East Asian country. With Rural-Sourcing you don’t have the risks that you would by outsourcing overseas. The name says it all. It’s outsourcing but to Rural towns within the United States, where the cost of living is much lower.
I know that there are a number of things other than IT that can be done like this. I really would love to have Todd on here to explain how an average business startup might be able to use this kind of service.
Todd?
