Jeremy McKane is a photographer from Dallas who makes a living telling a story through images. His background in business gives him a unique approach to a very specific demographic. “My job is to evoke any emotion from the viewer.” All in all, he believes that photography is art regardless who is using it. “it’s simply painting with light”.
You can easily identify Jeremy’s work by the way It is presented. Most people refer to it as a “flat-screen look”. These limited edition prints are photographs bonded to aluminum to give an almost 3D effect. Jeremy’s Limited Edition only allows for 10 in a series. It is preferred that you mount to a flat wall where the viewer can enjoy the piece without distortion.
Jeremy has many influences that helped him develop the style that we all know and love today. To Jeremy artists like Ansel Adams and Philip-Lorca diCorcia are awe inspiring. Jeremy spends time driving through the country via motorcycle to find elements of human nature and the stories that go along with them. The idea of telling a story that someone can associate with, and providing something easy on the eyes is where the true challenge is. With every click of the shutter, Jeremy extends his knowledge and like many others he simply believes that his work is where Art and Storytelling come together.
